What the **** are you talking about? Of course I don't know what you're talking about because you're being very vague! Did you think that maybe I'm interested in what you're talking about? The reason you see my name up a lot this time of day is because I'm one of the few people in here. This is when I spend my time here. WTF does post count have to do with anything you ******* nOOb. It's just a ******* number.

Re: Engine coating ? (DewMota)
Ahwhile back i was told to do this, and like everthing else, I did it myself. It isn't hard, you just have to have the right tools and space for the job. I wouldn't suggest tearing your engine apart to do it, but if it is already in pieces, what the hell.

Re: Engine coating ? (mattssi)
techlineproducts.com has a kit, i was thinking it could'nt hurt. Just wondering if i could use like 1000 grit sand paper on the pistons, clean them up really nice so the coating sticks in the pours. Valves, i already have polished, so it should stick fine.
38 bucks a pop.. why not.

Re: Engine coating ? (ABK)
i guess it helps reduce the chance's of detonation, and keeps the heat in the chamber. If you look at this months hot-rod magazine, they have a nice article on it. I learned about it while taking a big crap.. it has a big 572 or something on the cover. good stuff

I don't think that's the website. That has to do with bowling lane conditioners and ball plugging supplies. Is this the one you were referring to? http://www.techlinecoatings.com/

a) I'm not a kid. I have almost 9 years on you, kid. It was so hard to find the right website. I'm so new to the internet.
b) Leghumper??? Hardly.
c) Misguiding information isn't welcome on H-T.

Re: Engine coating ? (JRI94)
http://www.swaintech.com/race.html <-----VERY good stuff (located near Rochester) they have lots of differnent coatings for piston domes, skirts, bearings (i think ) valves etc... they will help prolong the life of you motor/decrease temp of engine parts
I would not buy the coatings & do it myself tho (unless I worked for one of these companies)...send them your parts & they'll coat them for you

NO DOOD get your topic right then everyone can tell you an answer to your question. Engine coating??( painted block or powdercoated block ) Thermal coating ( ceramic or other coating on pistons and other internals to reduce heat fatique)
The spray on stuff would require you to bake on the coatings as well. Why not save your time and send your parts somewhere like JetHot coatings to do it. Had to plug that in since one jethot plant is 5 minutes from my house.

Re: Engine coating ? (JRI94)
wow JRI94 stop antagonizing and both of you just shut up and post on THE TOPIC damn people on here get their panties in a bunch over stupid **** get over it. Anyway back to the topic it really isnt that hard to do as said befoer if your engine is taken apart already then go for it but if you need the engine back as soon as possible your etter off sending the parts out to be thermal coated

to Swain Tech. My friend got his pistons for his Eclipse coated by them and the turn around time was quick as hell. Then again, it is like 20 minutes from where I live.
