Engine can't stay revving

Engine can't stay revving
My girfriend and I went to dinner last night and convinced that she could drive stick, I let her drive my 92 civic si to the resturaunt. After stalling a bunch ((go figure)), the car didn't start. The clutch is in, the key turned, the car started, rpms go up but drops back to zero within a matter of seconds and stalls. I did this a few more times but the engine would not stay revving. I thought it was the clutch at first but then I started the car again and pumped the gas like crazy. It finally started and stayed revving so I drove it home as fast as possible. After I got to my driveway, I turned off the car, turned it back on, and it stalled again...
May I ask if anyone has experienced this? or if anyone knows what is wrong with my car? I am utterly confused right now as to how this is happening...

Re: Engine can't stay revving (Blck_Hatch_of_Doom)
check your vacuum hoses around your intake manifold. sounds like the same problem i had when my friend f*cked up my throttle body and i had to use a b16 one. it would start, but wouldn't idle. just died. just double check your hoses and you'll probably find one that fell off. hope that solves your prob.
