Why does my 95 Honda civic DX bog out at full throttle? Acceleration is great but it bogs out if you put the pedal to the floor. TPS?
It has a JDM D15B SOHC VTEC engine.

Check your timing, try advancing it a little. Also check air filter and do you get a cel? Need more info...

I'm running a P28 ECU. Short RAM Intake. Yes I'm getting a CEL. It seems to be a single Long blink that is continuous. Also it will not shift out of park without using the manual shift lock release. Are this sympthoms related?

I would say tha the short ram is the problem. My 98ex did the same with my old injen short ram. I ended up switching back to the stock air box with a k&n drop in filter and I've been much happier.

If it's a long continuous blink then it's your O2 sensor

o2, I agree. Mine did it too. I replaced both and it is much better now.

Definately sounds like your 02 is out.

your 02 senser won't be the cause of your engine boging.

Your car is an auto, auto hondas are dog slow.

mine has done this since my d16z6 5sp install (engine may have been from auto originally).

dies when pedal is on the floor - fine at 99%.
