Energy suspension kit good?
one of my friends recommended me the energy bushings kit that contains everything. my question is will this make my car stiffer? I really dont want to feel every bump on the road, or should I stick with OEM? I have a 95 civic ex coupe

Re: Energy suspension kit good?
It will make the car stiffer but not the way you think,it removes the play you get in your old bushings and stiffenes the movement that allows but you wont feel the bumps in the road any worse.
When I was working on my wifes 95 EX I priced 4 of the front bushings up at just short of $90 and bought the energy suspension full kit for under $200.
I had also been running ES kit on my CRX for about 3 1/2 years at that point so it was a no brainer.

what are your plans with the car? track? dd?
how many miles are on your coupe?
are your current bushings worn?
i'd go with oem strictly for the quality, there's nothing better..
but if you feel you want them to be stiffer and are alright dishing out the cash for ES, then go for it, energy suspension makes some good stuff, never had a problem with any of their products

Yeah, it won't really stiffen it up in the sense of feeling every single bump BUT you will probably think it did because as mentioned above, it will take alot of the slop out of your current ones and might feel stiffer...but in reality you're making it feel the way it's supposed to.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.....
did the full kit on my EJ6 coupe and wouldnt turn back for anything....
will certainly be an upgrade i purchase for my next car....
HOWEVER.....
doing all of the bushings is time consuming and will most likely lead to more maitenence....
here check this thread i made ABOUT the ES Bushing install.....

Poly bushings require a **** ton of matience when compared to other types of bushings.
They need to be cleaned, re-lubed. Sometimes you will even need to remove them from the car in order to do those things.
Now, for the people who are reccomending OEM bushings. Sure they will last a long time and require no maitence, however are you aware of how much they cost?
When I priced OEM bushings for my car, W/ 99-00 SI front LCA's it would be around $800!
There are rubber kit's out there, PIC, and Hardrace. They both are priced around $250.
They will stiffen up the car a bit, and still have a good lifetime as the OEM bushings would.
