Emergency HELP!!!!
So my f**king window motor burned out today, so I have to get a new one. Im working on the d*** thing and notice that Im leaking TRANNY FLUID F**K!!!
Im just starting a new job, so <U>money is an issue</U> with this problem.
Question:
Should I just get my tranny fixed? or
Should I swap in a new/rebuilt tranny?
If swap, are there other Trannys for the D16z6 that would be better/cheaper?

Re: Emergency HELP!!!! (BauleyCivic)
Are you sure its tranny fluid?
Edit: Also, is it auto, or manual tranny? If its auto then you probably just need to replace the gasket. If its manual then you probably need a new one (depending on the leak) and its cheaper to buy a new tranny from somewhere.

Re: Emergency HELP!!!! (GZR4DR)
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by GZR4DR »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Is the fluid coming out near the axle? If so it could be a $15 fix if you know how to replace it yourself.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I was just thinking that. I have a noticable but not huge leak coming from an axle seal that would take all of 20 minutes to replace if it was severe.
