Default Em1 way to low

So I bought this em1 basically because of how clean the shell was, a lot cleaner than my em1, so the plan was to take everything from the new car and put on the old shell and sell it, well the new car is absolutely slammed to the ground, not about all that so the plan was to raise the coilovers before trying to sell, well the problem is they are eBay DNA coilovers and they are already adjusted to the highest setting, any reason the car is still so low, maybe different coilovers sleeves added to the DNA shocks? Haven’t had time to check the springs on the back of the car, don’t know if the have them backwards, but they are the red ones, compared to my progress coilovers, both are the fronts

The spring is way too short. You need different springs.

Also when swapping parts, be sure to keep the lower fork things on their correct side of the car. Switching then will sort of fit but cause problems.

Yeah I’ve been working on Honda’s for 15+ years but never dealt with dna brand anything, and I always start with a shell and build my own car so reusing parts is something new to me as well, not really sure why someone would setup suspension like this, it rode like hell too

Garbage ebay sleeves use springs that are way too short and way too high of a rate. DNA is no different, just includes struts together. Throw all that **** in the trash.

I hate to throw them in the trash because they just going on the car that I am selling, wasn’t planning on buying coilovers to put on it, if it was a car I planned to keep I wouldn’t think twice about upgrading

It may help you sell to some dumb kid that wants a dumped civic. IMO the sleeve is upside down, but just adjust them as high as possible and they should be at about 3in lower than stock. Still going to be way too stiff.

Which one are you selling?

The sleeve is the right way, it’s even numbered, the blue one is the one I will be selling

You need to cut the bump stops in half by the way. The trunk spoiler on the blue EM1 looks aftermarket,...is it not? The overhang on the right is an eye sore.

Not cutting the bump stops on the progress because I’m barely going less than stock height and that was progress recommendation for my ride height, and it’s 100% stock spoiler

Yup! As far as sticking past the trunk lid on the right side, the spoiler is slightly wider than the trunk so it hangs over on both sides a little bit, nothin you can do about that

Got some function form type 1 coilovers coming from a member on here, so at least it will ride and set better, I can’t sell the car dropped like it was especially to “some dumb kid” these cars are getting hard to find not all beat to hell or riced way out, I can’t sell to someone that doesn’t know and respect what these cars are, I’ve come along way with this particular car after saving it from some dumb kid, means to much to me to let it go to just anyone

I am guessing with those wheels that the suspension wasn't correct for the car.

What's wrong with the Progress coilovers? They are way better than that F/F by a mile.

Any signs that the shocks on the ebay set are blown out to the point where the car is just sitting on the springs?

No the springs are just way to short, the shocks still seem fine, not worried about it anymore, f&f coilovers are on now, all good
