What do I have to do to give my '00 dx hatch the Si front grill setup? can I use my outside piece, the color matched piece with the si mesh? thanks!

buy an SI grill and paint it, am not sure if the si grille comes apart like the others do

You gotta get the whole grill. Just putting the outer trim of the Si grill on your stock one doesn't work. Must get the whole grill.

i think what he meant was that he wanted to use the stock triming of his stock grill because it matches the color of his car, and use it on the si grill

only works for 97/98. i think 96 is a one piece.

he is asking for a 99-00 si on his 99-00...the front ends are different

swap the whole grill

The Si mesh won't fit properly with a non-Si grille trim

As mentioned, you cannot use any other US '99-'00 (or '96-'98) grille shell with the Si base or visa versa.

You need to buy an Si grille (Type R grilles are similar) and replace the entire grille (shell and base).
'99-'00 grilles are different than '96-'98 grilles. Yes, the '96 grille is one piece, while the others are not.
