EM1 SI B16a2 torque dip?
Hello,
I own a 2000 Honda Civic SI. It's got the glorious B16a2, and I know it isn't a fast or quick car by any means, but around 3-4k rpms (which is where I'm at accelerating to 40 roughly) it seems very sluggish, and doesn't seem to want to pull at the speed/rpm much at all. Now the odometer says 184k, and it may have a rebuilt motor, but no proof of it. I'm thinking it might be a fuel pump, because it 1. Doesn't like to start under 1/3 tank of fuel without having to really prime it first 2. Seems a bit rough off the line, almost like it wants to stall a bit. It has a cutoff switch which I don't think affects the power going to it, but who knows. Help would greatly appreciated as I just want my peppy SI to be at top notch. Thanks yall
