EM1 HELP! never owned one, now i do i need answers!
So, crazy story real fast. I was recently looking for a car for work that got great MPG bu reliable. i found a 99 civic dx with 70k miles that was salvage title due to theft for 2000, not bad at all. So i do a car fax and realize, its an 99 civic Si. The thing was, since it was stolen the people stripped the interior, motor etc. so the old owner wasnt going to spend the money now on a salvage car. His friend had a wrecked DX same year, they took all the interior, motor, tranny etc and put it in this car so he could sell it. Well im leaving the DX motor because i need the MPG.
MY question: im use to EF's and i know having certain models and doing swaps u have to change hubs some times. well, looking at brakes i noticed ex and si brakes are different as well. so by this guy swapping the dx motor in, im wondering if they are DX hubs or si hubs or if its all the same on these years. i need brakes soon thats why im asking. i wnt to buy the right product. any help?

If the original suspension wasn't stolen, they're probably the SI brakes. Do you still have disc brakes in back? What size are the rotors up front?

i do have the discs in the rear, im not sure if they took the front. my question, is the hub on the dx and the si the same? like on the crx if u have a dx or si u can put a b series in but hf has to be switched. so in this case it went from b series to d series. so i was wondering if the axles from the D series would fit the Si. for example, anyone on here ever swap a gsr or b16 swap in their 99-00 civic dx and have to change the hubs?
because if you do, this means i must have he DX brakes, otherwise i still have the Si
