EM1/built B16 -- Buzzing relay, car wont start

Default EM1/built B16 -- Buzzing relay, car wont start

So i was getting the old civic started today after it was turn apart over the winter (ie harness, brake lines) and so i go to start it and i hear this buzing sound when i turn on the ignition. the bump does not prime and the buzing is constant.

its a relay that sits on passenger side that is grounded to the metal the suports the dash anyone know why it is making a really loud buzing sound and why the car wont start?

Make sure ALL of the grounds are bolted up/plugged in. A friend had a similar problem because his tranny ground was not put in.

Ok sorry dude i have read a bunch of your post your a helpfull guy! its a em1 with a built b16 the car ran like a champ when i pulled the engine and clean up a harness a bit and now it wont start. the pump dont prime the Cel light on the cluster is really dim, the relay sits above the kick panel on the passenger side and is making a crazy buzying sound everytime the ignition is tuned on! all the grounds are connected.

Checked over the car today with no luck! one thing that i did notice was the is CEL on but extreamly dim, then when i unplug the main relay (relay making all the noise) the CEL stays on but its bright like it should be. pump still not priming

Just spitballing here, but maybe you should replace the main relay.

i havent yet because the relay was working when i pulled the engine in December. but i will order a new one! i believe the problem lays in the grounding system when i did the tuck. does anyone happen to have the pin out to the green plug that is by the ecu connectors? its the one that connect to the dash i believe
