engine light comes on only sometimes and when it does it normally still runs generally fine but this morniing when i tried to vtec in 1st, \it only vteced till 6k rpms then my engine completely stopped accelerateing? untill i shifted to second. havent vteced since and thought id try and save alittle money then to take to a shop, have done research not some lazy *** but i think its my throttle position sensor? any help woud appreciated. also im 100% bone stock besides it being a diff b16 then orig one in my em1. please give advice!

It said that? What code is it throwing specifically?

Code 14? If you reset the ECU, does the same code return? If so, take your car to AutoZone to get the OBD2 code pulled with a code reader. The OBD2 code will be more informative.

Any idle problems?

i checked the code about a week ago, my brother has the obd2 code reader and im not 100% what code it was but i do know it said idle air malfunction. will check again in a couple hours have some stuff to do. but there is a hose comin off the back of my intake manifold and its missin the actuall hose that plugs into it.. ive tried researching what vacum hose it is but no luck. i have to put a inch or two long hose with the other end closed or it will be constintly suckin in alot of air, and when i gas my car it will rev to right below 2k rpm and wont rev any higher unless i push pretty hard then will shoot up rpms.. but if i put the 1inch hose with the other end closed it runs really good 95% of the time with no idle issues at all.

thinkin that hose is for my cruise control which i dont have? and also if that 1inch closed hose somewhat fixed the prob with the idle maybe a diff code is now coming up? will check code in a couple hours nd update. thanks for the feedback appreciated.
