Default Electrical problem, help!

Good afternoon ht, a few minutes ago I was heading back to work on my EM1, I turn the key to on and the dash lighted on as normal then when I turned a little more to start up the engine I heard a loud click on my engine bay and everything just died, I turned it off again and tried again but now nothing lights up, only the stereo turns on but behaves odd like it has a short, I checked my battery but it was fine actually is a new odyssey I bought 2 weeks ago, I suck at electrical problems any suggestions will help.

If the headlights and hazard lights work, then check the ignition switch.

Yeah everything turning off at the same time would most likely be a ground.

Thanks for the input guys, i'm checking the grounds now, what I did notice Ron is that when I turned on the headlights switch they didn't go on and the negative pole of the battery started to get hot.. Any ideas?

Yeah, sounds like a bad battery ground connection at the chassis. Clean and tighten it.

Success!!! I brushed the battery ground ends with my dremel and left them shiny again, connected it, and started with no problems, thanks for saving my a** yet again guys.
