This is the second thread you have like this on the page. The Greddy is a less complete kit, the Edlebrock is much more complete, but more expensive. Buy what you want and waht you can afford.

First timers need a COMPLETE kit.

Edelbrock. No question about it.

I agree 100% on the first one, but to the second I don't.

The Greddy kit is "complete" enough that you can get it up and running without breaking too much. Hell if you know your head from a hole in the ground you can make it into a pretty decent kit.

The Edlebrock is a hold your hand please do everything for me kit IMHO. Unless you are a bumbling idiot, you should'nt need everything that the kit comes with.

With that said, I tuned my E-Manage myself (was VERY off on the Y7 to begin with). I have a y8 intake mani, 240cc EX injectors (which still get me overly rich at WOT sometimes) and a bunch of other "little" stuff that the Greddy 92-95 kit does not come with.

Edelbrock comes with a intake manifold, additonal fuel rail, additional injectors, and a fit to the frame intercooler.

After using that Intake Manifold on my stock N/A Y8 and gaining 5whp, I'm all about a turbo kit that has that manifold.

Not that the greddy kit won't work well. Just that if I am going to throw down close to the same amount of money (after buying the intercooler and piping for the greddy kit) then I'll go with the all in one kit.

But like we both said, these are our preferences.

Fair Enough, but I got all of my Kit (including the ginormous Type 24) brand new for right around 2200 dollars. That's quite a bit cheaper than the Edlebrock kit.

Agreed. Actually RSZero1 sold a COMPLETE kit (including Tial BOV from the Edelbrock kit) for 900-950! Man I wish I had had the money then!

The used kits are out there and they can be bought for signicantly less, just know what your buying.
