Re: Ek9 w/Fat Fives
Your incorect, a ek9 is right hand drive and was not avaible in the us.
That is a EJ6, not a EK9, and there is noithing you can do to make it a EK9, period.

Re: Ek9 w/Fat Fives
To clarify:
A EK9 is a '97-'00 Civic Type R hatchback ONLY*. They were only sold originally in Japan, though there are quite a few that were imported, especially to parts of Europe.
98civdx is right. EK9s only came with 5 lug.
USDM '96-'00 Civic hatches all came from the factory as 4 lug. USDM '96-'00 Civic hatches are all EJ6s. The only '96-'00 Civic hatches available in the US were the CX and DX, neither of which is or was an EK or EK9. The CX is an EJ6 with a D16Y7, no rear wiper and a black stubby roof spoiler. The DX is an EJ6 with a D16Y7, a rear wiper and a half metal half plastic, upper section painted to match the car roof spoiler.
Even if you swap out the engine the car does not become another chassis code. It's not going to be an EK9 if you put in a B16B. It's not going to be a DC2 if you put in a B18C5.
Chassis codes are just fine to use, but if you use them (like all other information) just know what you're talking about. No one's yelling at anyone (besides that one angry guy up there). This is just basic knowledge here. And now the ones reading this that didn't know, do.
If you want to say "'96-'00 hatch" or "6G hatch", just say that. It's not that much work to press a few more keys and it would have saved all this discussion.
But, at the same time, any of us who have been around here even a little bit understand most noobs who say "EK" or "EK9" actually mean a '96-'00 Civic hatch, or '96-'00 Civics in general.
If you see someone correct you on EK/EK9, just don't reply, and maybe correct yourself later on.
No real need to fight about it or get angry.
* - Before I get corrected, yes, there was no 1996 Civic Type R.

Haha there's about 5 people every single day who puts something about an ek9 on here refering to either a 6g hatch or sometimes even a coupe...and you decide to jump on this guy about it? Lol. It would be quite some time if you went on a crusade to clean up all the false ek9 posts.

Re: Ek9 w/Fat Fives
It's on Koni yellows at the lowest perch with tein s techs right now. I need to get some GCs. They don't seem to rub much, I did have a few rubs on that mountain trip though. The fronts will rub a little if I lock the wheel all the way one way or another, but none otherwise. They're 205/50/15 tires by the way.
