Default EK4 vs EG6 from a handling modification standpoint.

From a handling standpoint, which car is better for mild road course use (NHIS, LRP) AND daily driving
Which car has more options to choose from?
What suspension layout style to they use?

Lets say for example we have two cars:
an EK4 with a B16A2 with 175bhp on 15x7" rims with Advan048s in 195/50/15 on Tein Type RAs
and
an EG6 with a B16A2 with 175bhp on 15x7" rims with Advan048s in 195/50/15 on Tein Type RAs

toss them on this course:

which do you think would come out on top?

More importantly which one is more enjoyable and gives the best driving experience when properly modded?

I know most of this is subjective, so Im just asking to get an idea.

I would assume the EG6 is lighter and more tossable, but doesn't the EKs have a far superior independent rear suspension?

I hate asking 'versus' questions... but I'm just trying to learn about these cars from their chassis and suspension dynamic.

Yeah but you would have the same driver for both cars so that wouldn't really matter.

actually driver has everything to do with it. I was assuming that the same driver will be in both

Of course the driver's skill has everything to do with it. I was responding to monkey magic's comment that seemed like he was insinuating that the 'better driver' of the two cars would come out on top.

EK's have a longer wheelbase than EG.

Both running stock sway bars?

you should say same power to weight ratio because i doubt the ek4 handles that much better than the eg6(which has a good advantage due to its lightness) to make a difference when both have the same engine power, especially with same drivers.

yeah, I just wasnt sure the weight differences

a 96 EK4 CX Hatchback weighs 2222lbs (186bhp would equal 11.9lbs/hp)
a 92 EG6 CX Hatchback weighs 2094lbs (175bhp would equal 11.9lbs/hp)
So, the EK4 isnt getting MUCH more horsepower to have similar weight ratios

I'd say EK is better. you can run bigger sway bars on an EK, for instance, a front CTR/SI 26mm as oppossed to a front ITR 24mm on a EG. EK is also newer, so maybe less wear on the chassis. The wheelbase is longer than an EG/DC, and is suppossedly the same as a s2000.
