ok i have a 96 ek hatch and been interested in the ek4 navi
question is what all would need to be done to install it in working order?
wouldnt want to buy one if i cant even use it

install navi unit then move to japan so it will work. don't think you will find softwear to make it fully functional over here.

nope its not possible to work here in the usa. would be better off buying a tom tom or something. could always try to wiring a new navi in from a tsx or something but u will need everything for it and know alil bit about wiring and make a plate for it to fit.

It will power on but it won't navigate you anywhere in the states.

OEM GPS units usually suck anyways. If you want an in-dash GPS so bad, spent $400-700 on a dual din GPS/Dvd player for your car.

I couldn't look all the way down at my stereo for a map anyways, I like having them on the window mount like most modern gps.

Well i don't care about the navigation itself
I just love the oem navi look in a ek hatch
I wouldnt even use navi jus cd player but probably too much hassle I was just curious
