i have a DC2 linkage in my car, and my shifter looked like this one, ebay special. it came with 2 bushings/spacers to fill in the extra width between the shifter and shift rod. the oem one was the full width, like the one in the bottom pic of ur post

The top one is the right shape, I know it will fit 88-00 Honda Civics, they all use the same ****** shifter, thats EF, EG, EKs. if you got the wrong shifter, dont get new linkage, thats expensive. get a 15$ ebay shifter, i guarantee you the quality of the knock off ones is good, ive had mine for 2 years, no nasty welds either. and abec-5 ball bearings.

Re: For the EK4 and DC2 people out there who replaced there shifter (Redline96LX)
Thats what I thought, that all years are the same, so when I saw this one for sale, and the box said EK4 - DC2 I assumed it would fit. Well it doesnt and I cant return it now.

I apologize for being unable to confirm this, but I vaguely recall that you need to convert to the DC2 linkage to use the C's shifter.

Padawan,
Thanks, your a savior. I shot over to a buddys house today and checked his GS-R and he has the correct linkage. Now, just need to get a way to nab it without him noticing
