EK3 Civic turbo by Top Fuel Japan
Hi guys
Thought I would share with you my recent purchase.
Its a 1999 EK3 " Project RR " Civic Turbo which was originally built by Top Fuel Japan with only 110km ( 68,000 miles ) on the clock.
It has a built B18cr engine with a Garrett GT2871R turbo strapped on to it
Currently makes 256kw ( 348hp ) at the wheels on 16psi.
It was imported from Japan to New Zealand back in 2004 not long after it was first built.
Here's a couple of pics -
It also featured in the New Zealand Performance car magazine back when it was first imported, in a 4 page write up and is also on the front cover ( bottom right hand corner )
The plans at the moment are to enhance the handling as I want to do some track days in it.
Have a Whiteline swaybar kit on the way which should help
Power wise i am happy. The car has been built for response and not top end so its very user friendly and easy to drive on the street.
Also the previous owner took it down the strip and it did a 12.3 quarter mile and that was before the Cusco LSD was fitted, so there is some potential there.
The only mod i have done so far since my ownership is taking off the Gold 16x7 5Zigen rims and fitting some 17x7.5 Work Meister S1

I wish that the US didn't have that pesky 25 year law. Then we'd have tons of cool imported JDM's like you guys too Congrats on the purchase, she's a beaut. Love the color.
