EK torque mounts question
On my 2000 EK coupe I dropped in a B18C1 if I put innovative mounts in with street 60A bushings. Can I get rid of the torque tranny mount and the torque mount that attaches to the AC compressor bracket. Would it be stiff enough with just 3 mounts just looking to make it a little cleaner under the hood. If I don't need those 2 mounts because of the new polyurethane mounts any advice would be appreciated thanks cranker.

Re: EK torque mounts question
yeah bro. the mounts you put in makes up for the torque mounts. my buddy is running the same setup (except he's running hasports) and he took off his torque mounts and the brackets that hold it and it looks way cleaner... as for me i just put mines back on because my newly upgraded clutch would give me wheel hop like theres no tomorrow and im only running stock mounts with energy suspension inserts in the torque and l bracket mounts.

Re: EK torque mounts question
the torque mounts are there for a reason.
they keep the engine from torquing and keep the enigne from entering the passenger compartment in the event of an accident.

Re: EK torque mounts question
as hasport said. if they didnt do anything i doubt honda would them there.
IMO, its going to take one hell of a hit to put a engine in the passanger compartment, and if there is a hit the hard, ill put money on the fact the torque mounts wont do ****.
