common knowledge that b series tb work on y8 im, but u have to dremel it out to match up.otherwise its useless. also use the b tb gasket and cut it to fit. i think stock is like 55, 56mm. dont go over 60mm

You will also need to port-match the throttlebody to the intake. Getting the bigger throttlebody on is only half the problem. If you haven't matched the throttlebody diameter to the intake manifold diameter having a bigger throttlebody will do nothing for you.
So, before you mount the throttlebody use that Dremel to cut out the intake to match.
The easiest way to match the throttlbody diameter is to use the B-series gasket:
1. place the gasket on your intake
2. use a Sharpie to outline the INNER portion of the gasket onto the intake
3. use a cutting wheel or file to cut back the intake to the gasket lining mark
4. use a buffing wheel to smooth out the cutting to smooth out airflow
5. clean the surface and interior of the manifold to make sure it is free of metal flakes
6. mount the new throttlebody with your newly "machined" intake
7. Enjoy!

you will only see benefits from high compression or boost, after port matching it. if you dont port match the manifold, you will hurt youer performance because you are causing reflection and more turbulence then neeeded

Re: EK T/B upgrade?
if your motor is stock like people have said its shouldn't be your main consern for power with boost or high comp. etc. the stock one is way to restrictive, if you atleast got I/H/E then it will your motor flow better a bit, btw you dont need a gsr any B-series except type R is all 60mm, also i could be mistaken but i think the first gen sir was 59mm, and as for connectors you have the map and tps they will both work waterlines should line up if not then just get longer hose, iv heard of needing to switch the throttle cable or the throttle wheel otherwise you wont have WOT, but on my car with my stock cable it works.

Re: EK T/B upgrade?
The key here is that the only way to see really impressive gains with this modification is to turbocharge the car. The larger throttlebody and port-matched intake manifold will allow significantly more air into the engine under boost conditions. And since more air with more fuel equals more power, the bigger throttlebody will make your right foot very happy.

Unfortunately its a y8 as well. I guess i'll tell you what everyone should have already been telling you...save for a swap.. I/H/E aint got **** on a basic b series. It will cost just as much as all that stuff too. The y8 is a garbage motor IMO

Re: EK T/B upgrade?
be sure to seriously look into having your oil pump ported a bit. or switch to a Z6 block (keeping your head) the oil system is better then the Y8. honda ****ed up in designing the oil system of the Y8
