Default EK swap .. no battery light ?

Swapped a replacement single cam in my car and now my battery light doesnt come on when i turn the key to ignition like its supposed to along with the other lights (oil, e brake, etc.)

anybody have any experience with this or what to check ?

the car starts and drives fine just wondering why the battery light isnt on and seems like power is somewhat affected when the motor is on i.e. lights seem to dim a little bit along with the revs

Check whether the light bulb is burned out.

thats a weird one, considering the actual working of the bulb has nothing to do with the engine swap. even if alternator or batt where bad, light should come on with key on =/

How did you test the bulb? Does the bulb receptacle in the cluster get battery voltage with the key in ON(II)?

swapped the bulbs around with thenoil indicator light and yes also tested for voltage .. maybe a bad ground issue ?

I have almost the SAME exact problem. Just did a replacement swap, and no more battery light.

Except I am having alternator problems too. Not charging.

Very weird. If you come up with a solution please post.

ended up being the alternator .. replaced it and no more electrical problems and battery light comes on along with the rest of the instrument lights haha
