Hello everyone. I have a 96 Ek hatch it is lowered pretty low on function and form type 1s they are brand new only drove on them maybe about 30 miles. Recently changed the upper ball joint on the passenger side with a replacement one. It just started making a squeaking noise when you push the car down on that side and when going over bumps. It sounds like a rubber squeaking noise. At first we thought the bolts for the camber arm were too tight so we loosened them and snugged them and is still making noise. My question is what else could it be and what should I all

The replacement upper ball joint. Was it OEM Honda?

It was oe style. I think I got it from napa.

Might be your problem right there.

Why is that? Before I had some cheap ones from bumper to bumper auto store and it didn't do this. Why would a better more expensive one be doing it?

I have no idea. But it stands to reason that if that part was the only thing you changed then what else could it be? Have your friend bounce the car up and down while you try and pinpoint the noise to see where the real source is coming from.

Ohh trust me we have been trying to locate exactally where it's coming from. It seems it's coming from the driver side strut tower area

I was having similar issues with omni power upper control arms. I put my original (96) oem arms back in, and the problem went away.

Hmm yea maybe I'll just have to buy oem one because I think the one I got looked pretty beefy so maybe thts why.?
