EK rear wheel arch trim...Remove??

EK rear wheel arch trim...Remove??
I live in Toronto (Cold and salty winters). I'm just wondering if I should remove the plastic trim that's on both of the rear wheel well arches. Will it help to prevent the rust that you typically see in that area on older hondas?

yes, remove it most definatley. dirt/salt/water collects under it and the rot starts from there. i think i removed mine at the dealer lot.... there will be a little grey adhesive left, just make sure to clean that off.

yeah i removed mine too. The one side already had some rust starting. I ground the rust down and repainted it. That trim traps salt and water and never dries out.

Yeah I always remove those rubber trim pieces on my Honda's, and clean the lip really good and wax it all the time like the rest of the car.
