Default EK - rear drum brakes questions

Has anyone replaced drum shoes in their 96-00 Civics?
Did you use OEM or aftermarket parts?
How difficult is the process, and how long does it take?

OEM/Local shop shoes. Because you cannot get performance out of drums.

Process is not difficult at all as long as you can follow directions.
Me with experience = 30 minutes.

it took me around an hour and I now know I will never own a car with drum breaks again
(went out the next day and got a rear disk conversion=much better breaking and easier to work on)

Rear disks still have drums.

Thank you. Performance is not my concern - stock DX brakes are a joke. I have 60k on the car - 3rd set of pads, original shoes - do I need to replace springs in the drum, or just the shoes alone?

i have rear disc conversion too. But what i don't get is why people always say that rear discs help braking so much? Before my back used to lock up before the front which was shatty, but as far as surface area of the pads drums have more. Also braking is 70/30 isn't it?
just thinking out loud i guess

but to answer teh question just go to a local shop and pick up the shoes they'll be like 15 dolla
