Default EK Power Window Problem *Please Help*

Recently my passenger window is acting up. It won't align back up when I roll the window up it pushes the window forward so it pops out of the strip a bit. *Bottom right pic*. I have been adjusting the nuts on the power window assembly. *Left side pics*. I also tried adjusting the track where the window sits *bottom right pic* and still nothing. Can someone help me. I want to tint my window and install my new auto roll up alarm but this is holding me back. And it sucks that I have to keep that window up all the time or else it will ruin my weather stripping.

Seems like this is a common problem with our civics. I had the same problem with my 00 ex, but on my driver side window. Here's a link to my thread which people were a lot of help: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1303052.

I still haven't figured out the problem with mine. The only solution I can think of is I need a new regulator and/or motor. Whenever I want to roll my window down, I have to assist it by pushing the window down while it goes down. This is starting to get very annoying. I'm just too lazy to get a regulator I guess. Hope my thread helps, and if it does tell us what you did to fix it.

my window did that about a month ago, i just put it back on track and it was good to go. There is a bolt on the bottom right (next to the speaker whole) loosen it all the way, and put it on track again. Spray the tracks with silicon lubricant, it makes them go up and down faster. if that doesn't help search there has been write ups on this before...

It wasn't very hard, only thing I had a hard time with was getting the door panel back on

808_Si if you can get me a pic that would definitely help. yeah I understand how hard it is to get that panel back into place. The bolts I've messed with that is in the diagram is #23 is that the one you unscrewed? And to make it clear your driverside window is the one you fixed correct? What do you mean when you put it back on the track?

there are 2 bolts that hold the front support track in place. (piece closest to bolt number 23 in the reference scematic posted. Those are the only ones that you should be moving. and it will adjust the angle of the window.

Thanks 808. I think I have to try the special case problem. Now when you say put two washers on the bolt that holds the window track. Do you mean I put two washers between the window track and the door panel then bolt it up?

Default same problem

I did everything and still no go. Thing of it like this when the window goes up 3/4 of the way the left side of the window which is the side where my tweeter tilts downwards slightly and the right side eventually doesn't sit into the weather stripping leaving a slight gap. So basically the left side of the window needs to be pushed up more so when it reaches the top it is even and not tilted.

Default FIXED!!!!

I finally found what was wrong. When I was about to give up a 10mm nut fell out. I looked around and I found out that it was one of the bolts that holds up the up/down mechanism. I retightened it and all is well now. So if anything like this happens make sure all your bolts are tight.

Your going to have to pull out your panel and peel back the weather plastic cover. Check all the bolts that hold the power window mechanism in place. Check your window tracks rubber to make sure its not binding the window.

holy owned lol!

I have the same problem with my manual window-driver side in a 97. I left it alone but I can crack open the window about 4-5 inches max without it coming out off track. Takes me about an hour to get the glass rolled up and on track.
So I guess I will be ordering some new window track rubbers and hopefully it works I wanted to tint and put alarm too
