EK Power door conversion-WHOLE DOOR-(searched)
Hey guys,
sorry if this was already posted-searched couldn't find-
I am planning on converting the doors on my 98 hatch to power,
My door was hit so I am swapping the complete doors,
I will have both doors complete and the Floor harness,
anything else I need? Was there a write up on this?
any help would be appreciated-----
thanks guys

i'm actually in the process of doing right now, although i have absolutely no write-ups/documentation on it. Well not swapping the whole door, but adding the power door locks/windows. you need the door harnesses, switches, floor harness. should be good to go. Oh, and fuses/relays as necessary, although im not positive if they are already there. I think they are?

Thanks, In my searches I pulled up MAD posts about the full conversion,
I am more concerned about whats involved in the hopefully simple conversipn of the complete doors,
also, does anyone know off hand if the Black SI doors and DX doors same color?
"hope so"

i just wired ex doors on my dx and boy was it a pain in the ***. someone on this board did a faq write up on the whole thing, i ll have to search on it
i did end up buying the ex floor harness for $ 121 but ended up not using it because i did not want to replace the whole thing (goes all the way back to the fuel pump) i ended up just making my own wiring.
But anyways use a multi-meter and a helms.
good luck

I was thinkin bout wiring in the power windows, but people have told me I'm better off with the whole floor harness--I'm not overly concerned with replacing it(car is gutted) fuel pump very accesible... I was more concerned with whether I have everything I need.............I HATE SUPRISES!!!!!
thanks...

Re: EK Power door conversion-WHOLE DOOR-(searched) (H22EKHATCH)
if you have the door harness then it should plug right in, most honda models are pre wired for power everything, you just need the harness that plugs into the door, plug it in under the fender to the conector, and your done. Thats all i had to do. hope that helps
what year ek is this anyhow?

You should be able to match them, the harness for the door that plugs in should come with the window regulatior plugs, tweeters, speakers, mirrors, and door locks. You can alter it to however you need for the regulator (i think the plugs could be diffrent)

They arent the exact same color, but you wont really be able to notice a ton of difference, on my 99 black SI i had, i swapped the trunk out for a couple days with a friend with a 99 ex (so i didnt have spoiler, and no holes in trunk), and the trunk color didnt match exact, but really couldnt tell unless u were looking for it, but then again on a 97 dx hatch a friend has, has a 99 SI front end, black again, and its a lil more obvious, but again nothing too too major, most people prolly wont notice unless you tell them
gl with the power windows
