im thinking about buying the jdm honda navigation unite... does anyone have or know anywhere that i can get a wiring diagram?

not only are these super rare, the wiring is close to non existant.. good luck man..

buddy of mine spent a whole day trying to figure it out and gave up.

i've heard they are hard as ***** to wire up, if you can actually find the harness to do it. and that the nav doesnt work in the us. if it was from our gen cars, im sure its outdated and pointless lol

They aren't that rare, i see them for sale all of the time. know of 5 different unit's i could buy today


x2 As cool as the unit would look and be to have, it is not compatible with any system over here in North America at all, it would be simply for looks, but that would be only after all the trouble of trying to figure out how to custom wire it up

im sure they're selling because they think its dumb as well lol but if you want navigation, i would suggest garmin or a newer nav unit/double din

Ive considered it but it seems like crap its the jdm factor but not much else.

You can get a double-din touchscreen unit for a decent price...it will be alot easier to hook up...way more versatile...speak english on the nav...

I just got a touchscreen and put a laptop under my seat...relocated my stereo to the cupholder...and run the program RideRunner.

If you get it though...maybe you can be the first to do a big DIY write-up about it?

Yep, little more than a show item in the US.

The only thing I could think of is using the space to mount a navigation unit that would work, but if you want to do that you might as well get any US '99-'00 bezel and climate control and make that work.

It's going to take work to get either the climate control on the US '99-'00 or the JDM navi unit. But the US '99-'00 climate control/bezel will more than likely be cheaper. Plus you won't have a remote that does nothing.

I know years ago people were trying to get US navi CDs to work in the JDM navigation, but IIRC their efforts were unsuccessful. If they were successful I'm sure that info would be a lot more famous.

I like the other SiR climate...I have one but I'm giving it to a buddy cause I decided against using it in my '99 (gotta keep the theme going). It has a digital display and a pop-out coin tray it's sick

That is pretty cool looking...I still like my 00 bezel...it made the carpc so much easier.

BTW that video...I thought the whole tape display was kind of funny. It's like having touchscreen controls for an 8-track.
