EK issue with low idle and random dying
hey all having an issue with the ek again, this time when i come to a stop
i notice that the car will idle real low then die unless i hit the gas to bring the rpms back up itll first of course when it dies will display the battery light
as it is now, i know my O2 sensors are shot,
but i dont think that would cause the issue,
ive already changed the battery and alternator of course.
but still to no avail and also my head unit cuts in and out randomly, and during my swap we used a y8 manifold off of an auto setup, and of course relocated the TB and the iacv but i was wondering if these symptoms would occur due to a faulty iacv?
any ideas please lemme know as its my daily
thanks in advance

Re: issue with low idle and random dying
It actually could be your faulty O2 sensors. Replace those and save money you could be spending on things that aren't the issue at all. Replacing your battery and alternator won't help, as they have nothing to do with keeping your engine running after it has turned. So. Start with the O2 sensors, if that doesn't fix it, it's probably your IACV, since that's what actually controls the air entering the engine at idle. I haven't heard of relocating it, but that could be the issue. Try taking it out and cleaning it, and if you can, move it back to its original position. If all else fails, take out your FITV and clean it and reset the valve screw thing. I just did this last week to my car because of a surging idle. Worked great. There should be a step-by-step somewhere on HT. Good luck!

Re: EK issue with low idle and random dying
Focus on the IACV because it seems that it's not bypassing enough air to the IM. If the IACV is fine, then try adjusting the idle speed.
The stock EK does not have an FITV, and a vacuum leak would cause a high idle not a low idle.
