EK headliner question: Random I know, but just wondering....
I just got my EK. I've owned 5 different 92-95 Civic's, and one ITR, and all of those cars all had a vinyl headliner.
When I got into the EK, I knew something was weird, but couldnt figure out what. I just realized that the headliner is carpeted. Is this true of ALL 96-00 hatchbacks? Is there a possible vinyl replacement?
Also, are there ANY black 99-00 dashes? I've researched and found only the answer "No", and that it was only available on CTRs (RHD). Bummer if this is 100% true.

Re: (R81DC4LS)
ek's with the except of the real ek9 [civic type-r] dont have the possibility of a black dash. that means no left hand drive oem black dash.
if you MUST get a black interior, take out the dash, remove the vinyl grey piece, and all the grey pieces... and use vinyl dye and make it black. its not paint, and its permanent. as for the headliner, good luck. its not vinyl. none of em are. replace that too?

That's what I was afraid of. I'm completely oppossed to vinyl dye. I used to work at a stereo shop and we had some stuff done, and I just wouldn't be satisfied with the fit and finish. I'm too OCD for anything other than OEM

Re: (hushypushy)
I had actually podored this. I think it wouldnt be worth it for the bling/black dash. I'm pretty sure no matter what, the chasis's structure would never be as strong.
