My 99 hb tails were flaking and water got into it and some of the flakes are on the clear part now. How should I go about cleaning them off the clear plastic part? It's the metallic reflector stuff that's flaking.

Inside the tailight housing there is metallic foil-like stuff covering the housing (not the clear part). It's there to reflect the light emitted by the bulb. The metallic stuff is flaking off and bits of it are stuck on the clear aprt of the tail light now because there was water inside them. I fixed the water problem though.

You should just get a new one, but if not just try getting some water and diswashing soap and shake it up in there. (Im not sure how well this works might want to ask around) I tried it on my civic to clean out the stain on got form a bulb exploding in my housing and it worked. I jsut left it out to dry.
