EK Hatches come in Milano Red?
This guy is telling me his EK is the original paint, Milano Red and I looked it up and only saw Roma Red for EK's. So is he lying? Sorry the newbie question, I came from a DC, and in the market for an EK.

yeah I never heard of milano on an ek but I wasn't sure. I thought it might be similar to the ITR's where it's FBP and NHBP depending on the year but look similar. Thanks guys.

Re: (ek forever guy)
ALL red 96-00 hatches are Roma Red period. Roma Red is slightly brighter than Milano red, but it's kind of hard to tell unless you put the two cars side by side. I threw on a Milano Red Si grille on my 99 Roma Red hatchback and it's very hard to tell the difference.

Differences between Milano and Roma:
Milano:
Tricoat paint (candy red under clear)
Has pearl in basecoat
Darker
Has more pink/blue tones
Roma:
Three-Stage
No Pearl
Brighter
More orange tones

96-00 Civic Hatchback got it from autotrader
Exterior Color Interior Color
Flamenco Black Pearl
Roma Red
Taffeta White
Vogue Silver Metallic
Dark Gray
At A Glance
No styling, content or trim changes for this year. The performance-oriented Si continues for 2000, and there have been paint comings and goings: Taffeta White has been added to the CX and DX Hatchback, and Dark Amethyst has been dropped; Titanium Metallic comes to the DX, LX and EX Sedan, and Vogue Silver is gone. Vintage Plum is now available to the LX and EX Sedan, and Inza Red has been eliminated.

And you're 100% wrong. I own a 1998 Civic EX coupe. It's Milano Red. My previous car was also a 1997 Civic EX coupe. Also Milano Red.
I know you probably don't believe me, so I went a took a pic.
This is the door jam of my 1998 EX coupe, which again, is Milano Red.
Okay, and I think a lot of people know this info, but I'll list it anyway for immediate reference. "1HG" means this car was manufactured by Honda of America. "EJ8" means it's a 6th generation Civic EX. "1" means it's a coupe with a manual transmission. "4" says what the equipment trim level is (for the Civic being either a DX coupe, EX coupe/sedan, or GX sedan). Next digit is the check digit, which is of no concern here. "W" means it's a 1998. "L" means it was assembled in East LIberty, Ohio. And the last three digits are the sequence number for that individual car.
I'm posting that all just to show that it's a 1998 Civic EX coupe. And by the color code you can see it's Milano Red.
So like many people already mentioned in this thread, yes, 1996-1998 Civic coupes come in Milano Red and '1999-'2000 Civic hatches come in Roma Red.
