Default Ek hatchback tail-light mod?

Well looked around for answer, and I was thinking of making a led block inside the tail light, but I was wondering if anyone has ever done it? There oem, I have "euro" tail lights. But I want something different

So? Be a pioneer and just do it. Why you think this is being different I don't know considering they have all sorts of LED bulbs. But then again, your goal is pretty ambiguous past just being different.

I understand what your saying, but my tail light already are full of led's and there not bright enough for my liking, I'll try pulling them apart, see how easy/ hard it is

You have crappy, knockoff "style" tail lights with crappy, cheap LEDs. If you're familiar with a soldering iron and modeling glue, it would literally be child's play to buy OEM (or OEM style) tails, separate the housing, and install an LED box, or LED strips. The reason you don't see people doing it is because the type of people who want that would rather just roll around with crappy, knockoff "style" tail lights.

No I have stock tail lights, oem honda. With aftermarket bulbs. I'm going to get a set of 99 tails but want to experiment with the 96 oem ones for now, I'll take lots of pic's when I get them in

Well damn no wonder its not bright, you need to get a bread board that is full of leds not some bulb that has 5 leds.

I don't have cheap led's in it there is probably 40 led's just in the running lights. I'm not stupid. Don't try and say I am.

40 LEDs, in a stock replacement bulb? One of two things needs to happen here. You either need to show us exactly what you have in your tail lights, and exactly how it's wired, or we need to forget this thread ever existed. If you actually have 40 bulbs in there, and it isn't as bright (if not brighter) than OEM bulbs, you have one of two problems. Option A) you have shitty bulbs. Option B) you have them wired incorrectly.

40 LED's?
How many lumens per LED?
if its 40 LEDs emitting 1 lumen each, yea, thats no bueno.

Not enough information to be constructive, if it's just a style question, go to the appearance section and hash it out there.
