EK hatch roll cage no modifications?
Does anyone know of a roll cage I could get for my EK hatch that would allow me to keep my rear seats and only have to cut the rear panels (if necessary), but not the dash or seats...? I have a safety-21 4-point, but i would have to modify the seats to put them in...

Are you tracking the car?
Autopower makes decent cages but if you arent tracking the car there is no sense in putting one in.
I couldnt tell you if you could keep your rear seats with an autopower.
Rear passengers would be at very (high risk) in the event of an accident.
Heck its dangerous to put a cage in a street car period.
The safety features of your car stock will protect you better on the street than the cage.

My friend paid $450 for his cusco 6 point. Cusco/saftey 21 are basicly the same, IIRC.
I normaly see them pop up for $500-600. But as dirty said, whats the condition?

...
Back seats and roll cage don't belong in the same sentence.
DD doesn't really belong either, but it's your funeral. I bet you look silly driving around with your helmet on all the time.

If you think driving a caged daily is safe for you much less passengers ....
Dooooood its just not safe.
Those bars are dangerous to your head and any other part of your body that it can come in contact with.
Im not saying this in any type of negative tone, but in a concerned tone to let you know even with added safety considerations, belts, harnesses etc...
The chances of you hitting a bar in the event of even a fender bender can cause broken bones at the very least ,or even death.
Even with a harness you can slip out of it. It doenst matter if you have a 5 or 6 point harness.
Harnesses stretch ...yes they do stretch on impact.
That little amount of give in the belt can send you into a cage bar or out of the harness.
I have seen many a race driver injured in the smallest of on track incidents.
Something as simple as running off the track into kitty litter has resulted in a broken arm or ankle.
To even think about putting passengers in the back seat is just telling your passengers lets play some roulette.
In wheel to wheel racing we are required to pad any area we can come in contact with in the drivers area.
This still isnt enough to ensure our safety.

I don't care if you want back seats, but you don't put people back there. That isn't safe.
One hit to that bar could be the last.
