Default '97 Civic DX - D16Y7 to D16Z6 Swap Help Needed

I have a '97 Civic DX with a D16y7 in it. It still has all stock wiring harness and ECU in the car. My main question is what all I would need to make the swap the simplest. I have already swapped over the alternator and distributor from the y7 so their plugs should already work with the stock harness. I am in the process of swapping the transmission from the y7 to the z6. Just waiting for a new clutch to come in.

I have heard of two approaches to this:
1. Run a p28 ecu and since it's obd2 already (correct me if i'm wrong), and plug it into all of the swapped over obd2 (y7 harness will work with a p28, right?) components from the y7 and use an adapter harness to take care of the remaining obd1 components on the z6 engine that I can't trade out for the obd2 ones from the y7.

2. Run the p06 (obd1, but still supports v-tec, right?), get a obd2 to obd1 conversion harness and use the converted stock y7 harness to run the engine as a full obd1 engine.

Also, if anyone knows of a complete write up on this engine swap, I would greatly appreciate it as I have not been able to find one.

Please get back to me with any help you can offer with this. I would also like to try to do this in the least expensive way.
