rite now i am looking at two 98 hatches. one is black and the other one is silver.
silver hatch has 295k and is bone stock
black hatch has gsr leather seats and is bone stock with 131k

silver they want $3500
black one they want $4500

what would you guys pick and why. i was leaning towards the silver 1 since it was cheaper but it has a lot of miles and i got a swap waiting for it.

The silver one has way to many miles even though you are swapping the engine the car is most likely beat to ****.

I'd pick the black one probably. Thats 160k less miles of use and abuse on the entire car not just the engine.

i'd go with the black one too. just be ready to wash the car every week, cause dirt is so noticeable on a black car. i can't stand how quickly my hatch gets dirty

black one because u try to buy the miles on a car. the lower the miles on a car the higher the value and resale value it has. just my 2 cents.

If the Silver one was a company car it was beat to ****. Was it registered as a commercial vehicle? How would you treat a car that you didn't care about and drove all day evey day. That's what I thought, go for the black one if the frame is straight.

I had a VSM hatch and i had to paint it. Nice color but very common. Yeah like the others said be ready to wash it weekly and every scratch will show! If you have a swap waiting then mileage isn;t a problem unless other parts have suffered the mileage abuse too....

DAMN! A 98 with 295k miles on it? Has it been raced cross country 7-8 times?? I wouldn't touch that one even though you have a swap. The chassis still has 295k miles on it.

i'd get the black one, 295k is way too much for any car. i was sketchy buying my 97 hatch with 105k.
