EK or EG..what do you prefer?
i was just wondering what the majority of you guys drive on this board referring to hatchs. can you tell a big difference between the weight differences if you were to put the same engine into both cars. i was just looking for some opinions. let me know. thanks alot

reason I have an EG: shell costs less because it's older, also nearly all G3 Integra parts swap only the car w/o custom anything (engine, suspension, brakes, seats, wiring components....
Just makes more sense from a technical standpoint, and a lot of my old integra's parts that I had I could use on the new car.

eg if you keep it clean, no body kit, spoon rims and swap... and ek if you do the same, no body kit, get a carbon fiber front lip, and the wing on top, all JDM... CF Hood... if not all that, then buddy club kit... that's how i'd prefer my hatch, but i'd take an eg over an ek... i think?...

i liked how the EK's felt. just overall. it felt safe and sturdy
but i guess im just not used to the EG the suspension doesnt feel to good (tokicos with neuspeeds) it rattles a little at the cluster and on the drivers door all the weather seals are...weathered...i mean its all replaceable. but it wouldnt yet be neccisary on an EK

very nice. he makes excellent points as to why someone should go for an eg. i would to like to see someone list the benefits of an ek.

ek is newer thats all there is to it. if u want a clean daily driver that u dont have to cut and can just roll. then ek is the way to go. I own an eg and i love it. wouldnt trade it for the world. but its not as smooth as the ek driving wise. there both great cars only advantage the ek has is its newer thats all.

my buddy blew up the motor in a eg DX(102 hp) and opted to get a motor from an ek 98 CX (106 hp), i still don't know why
, but he ran 15.95 in it with only i/e. that's 7 or 8 tenths quicker than an ek hatch with same motor........all due to weight differences.

93 eg si here and 00 ebp em1.......ek is def nicer....I love em both my wife drives the em1 so i guess im slightly partial to the eg...BUT ive never driven a stock eg or ek.......if i were to do another project id like an ek w/b16b
