According to hondaswap.com its an EJ6...
Although they might be wrong... Who knows.
Edit: Found another list where its an EK6 lol.
Call it whatever you want, I just hate when it's refered to as an EK9

Why are you giving a thumbsdown? EH is the USDM chasis code. People use EG because it's the JDM chasis code and being m4d tyt3 JdM y0 is what's in on this site.

Tell you what...you be here for more than 13 days and get more than 30 posts, then you can come back with a sarcastic response. When you deal with questions like this that have been answer hundreds of times over, people can be a little brash.
It has nothing to do with elitism either. It has to do with the correct terminology. While the responses may have seemed harsh...the original poster will now be the wiser.

Boohoo, shut up, you're a moron.
If someone needs to ask a question, wouldnt it be easier if they are refering to a certain car?
Now bow down to my "elitism"
And even AFTER I said it... he came back and said EK9!

Re: (eL)
96-00 hatch= Ej6. I know. I look at my vin every day.
About the "elitism" it annoys me when everyone says EG6 and EK9 and all that as well. You don't have a SIRII or a CTR, so don't pretend. Everyone gets their panties in a bunch over the small stuff on here anymore. Its the internet, and I'm glad you all don't have enough stress in your lives to make this a big deal...

Re: (Ricey McRicerton)
To the original poster: Rather than just saying "EG" and "EK," which are very vague and not even correct in most cases, please list the exact two cars you want to compare. Weights vary not only by generation, but also by year, body style, and trim level.
Also, try searching next time.

All D16Y7-powered '96-00 North American Civics are EJ6 - coupes, hatches, and sedans.
Also, try searching next time.

Thanks targa. I don't know much about anything except the cars I own/work on (97 hatch, 98 ex and a 00 si).
