yes, thats some of the things that makes the DX cheaper
example:
EX 24mm front sway bar
Si 26mm front sway bar AND 13mm rear sway bar

I was thinking of running it w/ no front sway. I've got Eibach pro-kit, and would rather not add the hassle and weight if the difference isn't big.

It's a BIG difference and worth it.

I dont think you can say its worth it, I believe its all about preference. I actually run my ek htbk with Buddy Club Racing spec dampers..and ITR 22 mm rear sway bar and no front swaybar and 15x7 +31mm offset speedmaster wheels(Azenis), and I actually love the way it handles very predictable and not much oversteer at all. I do track my car at HPDEs and such and some of the instructors that I have let take it out actually love it the way it is. but I say try it without it and see if you like it
good luck

its not that hard of a process...also make sure you buy a rear subframe reinforcement bar if you go bigger then the ctr/si rear sway...

i love how the topic went from a front sway to a rear sway discussion. people should really read if theyre gonna add comments.
to add to the original topic...i have a 98 hatch. nor cx or dx came with any sways.
i added a oem ex 22mm front on mine.
fairly easy, you just need the lower control arms off a ex as well, and to make it easier, its a 2 peice arm, so you dont have to pop the ball joint, that part of the arm, you can keep from your original Dx arm, and the part of the arm that the sway bar endlink attaches to, you take from the Ex arm. the biggest hassle of the job is dropping the exhaust pipe and shift linkage.
there is a trick in doing it without that much hassle. the whole job took me about an hour.
love the sway bar, and i also have a 22mm progress rear bar. cars a monster at autoX.
sway bars are the way to go.

Re: (Propulsion)
i did read it, but what i put down was my fault...wasnt really paying attention...
i havent done it yet, but im going with the full jdm itr setup...24mm front and 23mm rear...ive driven a friends car on the track with a similar setup and the ride was very neutral and balanced. he is also running buddy club racing spec dampers.
his setup made it feel like i was in total control with minimal body roll.
o and he was running on toyo RA-1's...
edit: here is a link you should look at....

actually no...i put in the progress 22mm rear in first... unbelievable improvement without the front bar. takes wheels off the ground on hard turns. ant the car feels super stable. at real high speeds i can take the rear out withut using the ebrake.
with the front in...it keeps the rear a tad bit more in tack, i can still take the rear out fairly easy, but overall highway driving at high speeds feels a tad more stable. if i had to choose, id pick rear bar over front, but i really like how both feel together. i was considering the 26 mm Si front bar, but i couldnt find the Si control arms, and when i thought about it, i kinda like being a little more tail happy, because i autocross.
with all this in mind...remember that no matter how your suspension is set up...tires still play a HUUUGEE roll on how your setup will operate.
right now im on Si wheels with 195/50 15s..not bad. but i almost wanna say that i enjoyed the track more on my Hx wheels. high speed driving is better on the 15s though.
hope the info helped someone.
