EK control arm question
i was working on a 00 civic si and noticed the front lower control arms are stamped and welded rather than solid cast steel like all of the others i have ever seen.
first, were these original or did they come off of another model? second, do these control arms have any advantages such as weighing less, or did honda just decide they were easier/cheaper to produce?
i am asking because i'd consider putting them on my 96 civic if they are lighter.
thanks for any help or information

Those are stock control arms. You need them in order to mount the Si 26mm front sway bar because it has very unique mounting.
