EK Alignment question, no mods
I have a relatively stock EK with no suspension mods and I just had new tires and an alignment done. The sheet the guy gave me says that the front measurements are fine, but the rear right is way different then the rear left, although the total is in spec. I called to ask why, and he said as long as the total is within spec then its ok, is this true or should I have them redo it?

your good...even my 2.5" dropped ek had better specs then your stock civic..lol...everything was on the green except camber so all the tech had to do was allign the camber

not everything is green now either, I want to know if that drastic difference in Toe is going to affect my handling, I'm not even worried about the camber because all I did was add 17" wheels and tires.
From my understanding, the total toe should be split equally between the Right and Left, these guys have mine split like 90 Left and 10 Right, should I have them redo it or is the guy right?

This makes me sick. Not only is that shop lazy, but they fed you a line of bullshit - and the idiot above me asking for your trust apparently has very little experience with alignments.
What appears to have happened is that they couldn't break loose the right rear toe adjustment bolt (they are a bitch to break free if they haven't been touched in a long time and haven't been soaked for hours in PB Blaster), so they just gave up and adjusted the left rear to set the rear total to "within spec" despite the individual wheel being well out of spec.
I would not have left the alignment shop with those specs, and I would not let a car leave my alignment rack with those specs either. When it comes to toe, I never settle for "in spec" - since toe is the most important contributor to abnormal tire wear and line tracking, it better be as close as you can get it or else you're just throwing money down the drain.
The printout appears to be from an older Hunter rack, but I am surprised it does not have "nominal" values listed. The Hunter rack I am used to using is a bit older (no color printer, just a black dot-matrix type) but lists nominal values for the specs in addition to a tolerance range. These are the nominal toe values for a '96-00 Civic:
LF: +0.04* Yours: +0.05* - acceptible
RF: +0.04* Yours: +0.02* - acceptible
TF: +0.08* Yours: +0.07* - acceptible
LR: +0.10* Yours: +0.08* - acceptible
RR: +0.10* Yours: +0.20* - unacceptible, an entire tenth of a degree off, out of tolerance range
TR: +0.20* Yours: +0.28* - unacceptible, almost an entire tenth of a degree off
I'd personally make them fix the right rear.
