so i was chilllllin in my 96 ek i got, i was just cleanin it up and i had the electrical on but the engine wasnt running, only for about 10 mins tops.......then when i went to turn engine on.....it wouldnt start.....i guess imma have to get some jumper cables and get a boost from someone.........any ideas on what dis could be?..... hopefully it just drained the battery a little bit and is nothing major..........advice?

10 minutes should not drain a battery to the point of no start.

either

1. battery is just old and no good
2. alternator is fried.

hope for #1.

let it sit for 30 min den tried again and it started wit no problem....

Some of the 96-98 hatches had a recall on the main ignition relay. They would overheat and then won't start.... You shouldn't leave the ignition on witout the car running anyway....
