EJ8 / EM1 question...
Question...
Will a D16Y8 bolt right into an EM1 without modification to mounts?
Let me rephrase the original question...
Can I drop a B16A2 into a '99 Civic EX without using a mount kit?
This question should only be answered with a statement. You cannot answer with another question (i.e. why would you put a D in an Si chassis?). =P
Just keep in mind that a fully built D with a big ole snail hangin' off the front of it will walk all over a lightly modded B...
I KNOW THE NEEDED PARTS TO COMPLETE A SWAP/INSTALL

Re: EJ8 / EM1 question...
You're going to need the D series mounts out of your old car + shift linkage use your 99-00 D series harness since the dizzy plug is different and of course axles, and D series radiator as B series radiators have a thicker neck. and that's it.
Em1 and ej8 chassis basically the same, except for the rear disc brakes, darker interior, and b16.

Ha! Hammer, so you were under the assumption that I was gonna drop a D16Y8 engine and head into an EM1, bolt the B16 tranny to it, use the B axles and call it a day?! Ha, if you thought so!! This isn't my first rodeo.

So the mounting points inside the engine bay are identical between the EJ8 and EM1.. (tranny mount to frame rail, engine mount to frame rail and rear engine mount)
