ej2 cluster problem.
this is really weird, now this happened before my swap, i think when the other engine blew it might have something to do with it. but i cant figure out what the hell is wrong with it. could it be an electrical shortage? is it an ecu problem? cause my ecu was fine. also when i rev my engine, the mph gauge moves which doesnt make sense to me other than the fact the ecu is manual now when it used to be auto.
heres my cluster when i turn the key one click
heres my cluster when engaged and ready to be turned over
even when i turn the car on, it goes a little higher to 40 mph
im assuming this is an electrical short or maybe a sensor is in the wrong port? :?
can i adjust this?

VSS - Vehicle Speed Sensor....
Check the pin on ur ecu as well.. Not sure what ecu ur running but im running OBD1 P28 and plug B slot 10 is the VSS vehicle speed sensor..
Make sure to check the wires on the plug as well, sometimes corrosion happens on there an u dont even notice it under ur intake so don't think to clean it off... GL

Keep in mind bro, all VSS's are interchangable as well between D an B series.. Meaning you can throw a B16, GSR, D16Z6 sensor it dont matter... Makes it easier to find one knowing that, just incase u need a new one...

lol yeah it cant get much more broke besides just no speedo at all, but thats kinda similar to ur situation now... dude u can get one at a junkyard for like $10 bucks an 9/10 times the one u pick up is gonna still be good, i've gone through tons of those between myself an friends, their dime a dozen cuz of the selection of cars to get'm off of... 92-00 civics 94-01 integras that had vtec...

its only one bolt that holds it down, its a goofy lookin 10mm bolt... the other 2 bolts hold the VSS together, dont be mislead in thinking they hold it to tranny cuz they dont... u take out that one 10mm bolt an just shimmy it while pulling up "not pulling on wires" but actually gripping the VSS an just maneuvering it up an it comes right out...

yea good lookin out bro, im pretty much certain thats what it is, cause my mph revs with my tach as see in the flash video from my celly
it did that when i had my auto tranny in too
the VSS that came on my new tranny is pretty much new from what the guy told me, so if it aint that, its gotta be the plug going into the vss and if aint that, its my ecu

Re: (dannycraq)
aftermarket tach huh... now im sorta leaning towards wantin to bet money its ur VSS or wiring lol... an yeah bro i got u, i kno sometimes this kinda ***** confusing an trust me when i first was learnin this **** it was a pain in the *** when nobody was tryna help an i couldnt find a [freak]in picture to save my life... so yeah man dont worry bout it, an MOST DEFINITELY check that VSS an the wiring... If you had a continuity tester you could test the plug to see if its gettin a faulty signal or anything but thats a lil more involved... Just give the basic **** a check first than lemme kno wassup...
