Trying to save you all the flame.

First of all it VTEC. VTECH is a phone company. EJ1 is the body code of the car. I'm guessing you have an EX. The engine code is D16Z6.

an EJ1 is a '93-'95 Civic Si/EX coupe (Si if you're in canada). it should have a D16Z6 motor (yes, it has vtec).

vtech = phone. VTEC = honda.

And go look at your VIN to see if it really is an EJ1. Look at the first like 6 letters/numbers and see if "EJ1" is in there. But an EJ1 is a USDM 2dr 92-95 EX.

By "loud pipe" im assuming you mean a noisey aftermarket exhaust with piping? If you want to fix it (make it more quiet) you can go the cheap route and have a muffler shop put on a resonator, or if you dont like the exhaust all together you can have them run new pipe and purchase a new muffler. If you go with new exhaust may I suggest the ES Tuning Oval Muffler. It sounds nice, looks stock and is fairly cheap ($110).

EJ1 is the chassis code of the car. It can be found in the car's VIN (it will be the fourth, fifth and sixth digits).

As was said before, the EJ1 is the Civic EX coupe. Stock they come with the D16Z6 (which is the engine code). You can find your engine code on the front of your engine on a small angled section right under the left side of your engine.

The D16Z6 is a SOHC VTEC engine.

Check my sig for more chassis code info.

The EJ1 was actually from 93-95.
