Default EH2 Civic A/C question

What all is needed to have a complete working A/C system? I have all the lines and I know I need a compressor and condensor fan, do I need an evaporator or anything like that? All of my other civics haven't had AC so I'm not sure.

if you never had a/c in you civic, then you will need a r134 system.
the system will consist of:
dryer
lines
compressor
condensor
evaporator
a/c button on the climate control
and if it's a bseries motor, then you will either need a crv bracket(cheaper) or the bracket found in the 94-95 del sol (b16a3)

and if i'm missing anything, please feel free to add!

Well I already have the lines in the car, it has had a/c in it before but was removed, so I should still be ok with the r-12 or whatever it is setup if I get that right?

I know the 92 dx came with a r-12 system, would the 94 dx be the same?

Don't bother with R-12. Use R-134a equipment.

I'll have to rip out the lines and put new ones in there right?

93 was the last year that honda manufactured civics with r12 so if you have a 94 civic it should be equipt with a 134a system. also the EPA passed a law to discontinue r12 back in 96.and the price for r12 is double than 134a.
i dont know if its the same in other states but here in cali you need to be certified to buy refrigerant. and the stuff they sell at autozone is crap it will do more damage than help.

Thanks for the info, then I should be good with the lines I already have. I just need the rest of the equipment. I know where the compressor and condensor hook up at, but what about the evaporator and the dryer?
