So do all EG6/EH2/EJ1-2/EG9 models come pre-wired for this then? Or just the CX/VX models?

VX and USDM CX models came with the shift light. Other models are not prewired.

yea i was going to say that my vx had that shift light on the original cluster...it comes on real early though.. i think it was somehwere between 3-4k

the hx has a shift up indicator where the ex/lx cruise on light is in the gauge cluster.

Well, where in the wiring is this? Even if it comes on early, maybe it could be modified to go off at say, 8k instead, no?

i wouldnt be surprised if it came prewired. thats common within companies with many different trims through a single model to have the same wiring. Like some1 said, the cruise mayb over the shift light. Usually its in the cluster, however someone could theoretically adjust it to be elsewhere. and even later on. But that may have to do with ecu/throttle/rpm/speed sensors

Well back on to the topic like someone said with the cruise control light being connected in someway with the shift up light its true. My buddy had a shift light and took his stock cluster out of his cx and put in one with an rpm gauge, the new cluster had no shift up light so instead the cruise control light comes on

^^ Yeah - that's because the wiring for the shift light bulb on that cluster goes to the same bulb location as on the cluster with the cruise control light ... nothing else tricky going on!
