Egine Bogging
Hi i actually been a HT member for years now but my comp crashed and yeah. So heres my problem, i got the same swap a D15B for my 93 del sol. This engine was from Japan. After i swapped the CEL came on and it was a code 10 IAT sensor, so i replaced that. It idles fine but when i rev it up the engine boggs between 2-3K rpm. I changed the o2 sensor, got new spark plugs, spark plug wires, and distributor but it still boggs between 2-3 rpm when i rev it hard. But i am able to rev it slowly and its fine. When i took it out to test drive it just bogs and barely move anywhere.
Please help me fellow HT members, i am stressed to the max.

Please help out fellow HT members, I have been pouring money into this car and its the first car i've bought with my own money so for those who paid for their own rides you know there are sentimental values to it.

Have you checked the fuel pressure? Side note: if you comp crashed that would not delete your HT account. . . don't be ashamed of being a noob.

Someone told me it could be that my ECU is on limp or safe mode that prevents the engine from over reving or it could be ignition problems. Can someone verify this?

Re: Egine Bogging (JDM-97CX)
Could my CEL be off even if the TPS is broken? Because my CEL is not on. Only time it was on was when it threw a code 10 IAT sensor and i changed that.
Thanks JDM-97CX, are there other opinions out there?

is there any way to take off my TPS because theres no visible nut thats holds it. Theres like a washer and a bolt and something inbetween. Can some one help me out?

Re: (siregcivic)
the map sensor is where it should be because it couldn't reach the TPS and vice versa, Thanks for looking out.
I fould out how to remove it after searching, but would it need to be recalibrated even if the TPS was never adjusted or moved before. Because when i did my swap i had to remove the whole intake manifold including the TB. SO just wondering if i should take the time to dremel it and check the volts and recalibrate it.

i recently did a d15 swap in my 93 coupe well it sounded like my engine was bogging after it was warmed up i opened my hood but cold not see any weird sound or engine movement so i put my hand behind the muffler exit and felt a drop of pressure it was like puffing went to honda did an oil change and no more problem. maybe it not your case.
