EG6 Build Thread
As You Can See from the title Me and My Friend are Building a 1993 Civic Cx Hatchback.....The previous owner swapped the motor with a d16y7 but could not get it to start....the car was bought a lil over a week ago for $800........The Civic is not mine im just working on it......btw im 16 nd the owner is 17 lol
heres what we got so far
this was the lil work we did rite after we got it
sanded the fenders nd the hood a lil to prepare for body work
Today we did as much work as possible, mostly body work
we did the valve cover the intake, did some new wiring, removed dents nd shaved the washer nozel holes on the hood primered the bumper and fenders light gray and primered the hood black, then put it back on
as you can see the bumper is hanging off a lil but thats only because the bolt was missing, we will be getting another one tomorrow
engine bay looks okay now, gonna do a wire tuck in the near future
I Did get the engine to make some type of noise today but i cant really find what the issue is
here's the link to the video

if you have any idea what it could be please let me know

Re: EG6 Build Thread
Yeah it wasnt too bad but i got a feeling the problem with the motor is the ECU.....i checked it and its the ecu from the old d15 motor nd not the swapped d16 motor in it now.....it sounds exactly the same is the civic in this video

Re: EG6 Build Thread
yeah the ecu should not be the problem i my b16 i had in my ride was a obd2 and i just converted the dizzy to fit my wiring harness and used a obd1 p28 so yeah what i would do is check your firing order and then see if your getting spark and fuel

Re: EG6 Build Thread
we used a tow strap but when we went to pick up the car someone had offered to attach it for us nd he ended up attaching it to the rad support, i could already tell it was wrong but its my friends car nd he was alrite with it so we left, 4 blocks later it came out so i re attatched the tow strap my self to th e actual frame of the car and we were fine after that
