EG6 brakes? I've searched, but still need help..
Ok. So i just ordered a full front and rear eg6 brake setup, and i'm trying to figure out what i should use for replacement parts...? I'm not talking just rotors and pads, i also was planning on rebuilding the calipers and possibly replacing the hub bearings.
Does anyone have any experience with the eg6 brakes? Any idea which model of car i should get these from? I've heard many differing opinions on which parts to get.. Now, i'm not so worried about the rotors and pads, as i could figure those out relatively easy at the parts store by trying out different things one at a time. However, the bearings and caliper seals would be a little more difficult... When i ordered the brakes, the guy from hmotorsonline told me i should use all my parts from a del sol vtec, (b16 model) while this may seem like sound advice, i'm not sure if he really has verified that the calipers and hubs are exactly the same as that model.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Same size rotors as the Integra, but the calipers are different (92-95 Civic EX non-abs).

yeah i've read that you need to use 92-95 civic ex brake pads for the front, so i could see using the same caliper seals on the eg6 front calipers.. But what about the rear? I guess the only way to find out for sure is to take out the seals, and compare them with a few different models that have rear disc..

Yes the front calipers, pads & seals are the same as NON ABS 93-95 EX 2dr and 94 NON ABS Del Sol VTEC. The rear calipers, pads & seals are the same as every other 90+ Integra or 90-00 Civic/CRX with rear discs.
BTW: the proper master cylinder to use with that setup would be the 7/8" unit from any NON ABS 93-95 Civic EX 2dr and NON ABS 94 Del Sol VTEC. And they will bolt up to your existing brake booster & hard lines...
PS: These front calipers have smaller pistons than integra calipers. So in theory they should offer better brake bias for decreased stopping distance than integra front calipers. The only down side is that the pads cost nearly twice as much than integra pads (for whatever reason) but they are smaller and don't last as long.

Hey thanks 94eg! for your input, i really appreciate it all... This will hopefully make things a lot faster - i'll repost on this thread when i get all the parts replaced on the brakes. I recieved them but i won't have time to put them on, as i have to finish my body work first..
