So I've B16A2 swapped my EG4 and it's at the stage where it's one issue after the next. Got it all put together last night and finally got it out a run.*
Before leaving the unit it was idling perfectly, and there was no warning lights on.*
Took it up the road, at the point where vtec should kick in....no vtec. Threw up an engine management light.*
Back into the unit and the idle was up and down, between around 700 and 1200rpm.*
Turned the car off, stuck a bit of steel wire in the service connector, ignition on and the engine management bulb just stayed on, no flashing.*
Took the wire out, ignition on and the engine management went out after so many seconds. Tried to start the car, started and cut out straight away. Turned it completely off again, ignition on, and no fuel pump priming.*
Turned it completely off again, left it for 5 mins, ignition on, fuel pump priming fine, ignition off, ignition back on a few seconds later, priming again fine. Ignition off again, back on seconds later, and no fuel pump, went to start it, started and cut out straight away again.*
Has anybody had any experience of anything like this before? I'm thinking its probably 2 separate issues. For referable I just the 2 wire blue plug to the left of the heater piping on the passenger side, within the green rubber holder.*
And I am using: obd1 Del Sol VTI engine loom
Obd1 ESi dash loom
Had to wire in a MAP sensor but decided to relocate it within the car, behind the dash. Don't know if the bit of pipe between the MAP sensor and the TB being to long would cause such an issue?*
